  This is my first critique, so it'll probably suck. But anyways, I'll be honest. I hate Crowley, I love Dragonia. I hate Crowley mainly because, well, he looks EXACTLY like Valentine... Just in a slightly different outfit and another name. He seems very unoriginal to me. I feel you drew Valentine and slapped on a new name and pet. Dragonia, however, is adorable! I like how you did a garden dragon, and that her name is based on one of my favorite flowers, the snap-dragon. I do, though, dislike canon-characterXoc relationships, but that's just me. I hope to see more from you in the future.

 Thing is, as I said in the description, I do not own these characters. I just putted then down paper and made the bio, as for the original cast, I also don't like when it gets too mixed up sometimes - it sounds a little pretentious, but it was on their original description. I'm sorry for that.In our role-play, the main cast that's usually female is now genderbended, so in that case they don't count really as original canon, do they?  I'm confused. Thanks again! Couple of things.
1. You designed Crowley's new outfit, so it's not my fault he looks like Valentine (I hadn't even heard of him until when I saw one of the Crowley pics had gotten into #Fangs-of-Valentine). Don't blame me for that bit. 2. Even if it does mess with canon, it's still fun, right? ALL of my RPs mess with canon - that's what makes them all so fun for me! 3. I seem to recall your genderbends gave me the idea in the first place.  Exactly! Crowley is based on the vampire manster of the Create-Your-Monster doll set, which looks EXACTLY like Valentine. Also, I remember asking you during the brainstorm what his style was like, and you confirmed that more victorian then punk, I even sent you a picture to confirm that
 And also, when I sent you the drawing before coloring, as asked you if I could change anything on their design, and you said it was O.K! We choose to keep him like that, and that's fine. I added to the Fangs of Valentine group because I was suggested to do so, and the group accepted it just fine! They could very well deny it! Also, I don't get why the fact he looks a lot with Valentine is a valid argument to someone doesn't like him, or even "hate" him. Dragonia Snap also looks EXACTLY like the dragoness doll from the other Create-Your-Monster set, and I wasn't critized for it!  As for the main canon thing, we have the argument that most characters we use are genderbends, so they don't count exactly as main canon. The only characters we use from the main canon, except for Jackson and Holt, aren't really relevant plotwise. I guess the main problem is the colour scheme... Maybe that makes them too alike? Meh, whatever, he's MY character. Not some Valentine ripoff...
Perhaps they're too stupid to know about the CAM dolls? Uh-huh, yeah. |
